I take it these guys have never seen a blocking sled. Superior to this because you have to maintain your balance and you can train for an asymetrical push, like a tackle, or use your forearms hands to simulate blocking as well.

Yeah, that's a bit goofy.

Best way to train for the scrum is to scrum, because of the dynamic nature of the scrum.

You do need to build a certain level of strength, but that can easily be done with squats, good mornings, power cleans, etc.
