It might not be addictive at low levels, but coffee is clearly addictive at more than a couple of cups a day.

Caffiene is not habit forming, like nicotene, with physical cravings forming.

However, those who drink coffee regularly, like myself, will get "caffiene deprivation" headaches for a few days if they stop cold turkey.

For me, yerba mate is a direct drop in, and I can drink mate for a week, and then drop it, and minimize any headaches due to the deprivation.

The latest study showing that coffee can act as a heart protectant is very interesting as well.
